Gardening is a nature lesson that anyone can take part in! Students can simultaneously learn about biology, ecosystems, weather, responsibility, teamwork, and much more. That's why it's such a popular part of our summer camps across the region.

In March 2020, when COVID-19 suddenly jeopardized the Sara Hardy Downtown Farmers Market season, SEEDS staff worked with the Downtown Development Authority and Taste the Local Difference to quickly create an online marketplace and curbside pickup option that fully launched in May!

We just love seeing kids get excited about new, healthy foods! Thanks to funding from the Michigan Fitness Foundation, SEEDS is offering even more nutrition education to elementary school classes in Mesick (Floyd M. Jewett), Brethren (Kaleva Norman Dickson), and Marion Elementary School.
