"When I was younger I knew the environment was important, but never had that desire to make changes in my life for the better. As I got older, and my child grew up, I have come to realize how essential it is for us to treat Mother Earth with respect. If we don't make lasting changes, we are leaving this mess for our children to deal with."

Physics concepts are not limited to textbooks and classrooms! SEEDS After School in Forest Area Middle School took a hands-on approach getting students to design their own racing sleds out of found objects and tape. They learned about inertia, kinetic energy, friction, and more.
