Alissa Aparicio has been an Americorps VISTA with SEEDS and loves working with children. She adds value to SEEDS Teaching & Learning programs in the Brethren area and engages with the local community. Motherhood inspired her passion to be a good steward of the planet and last year's Drawdown EcoChallenge catalyzed her to learn more about all the little things that she and her family can do to make a positive impact.
"When I was younger I knew the environment was important, but never had that desire to make changes in my life for the better. As I got older, and my child grew up, I have come to realize how essential it is for us to treat Mother Earth with respect. If we don't make lasting changes, we are leaving this mess for our children to deal with."
