Pat was born and raised in Detroit, Michigan. She moved to Kalkaska in 1973, where she retired from working in the medical field. At 77, Pat wanted to become involved again. Having raised five children of her own, she gravitated towards working with children. She became a parapro substitute for Kalkaska Public Schools and worked at the latchkey program at Birch Street Elementary. She jumped on the opportunity to work at SEEDS because of the extra opportunities it offers for children and because it provides learning in a safe and nurturing environment. Outside of work, Pat loves painting with oils and water colors.
