Janis Feller was born in San Francisco, California, and has lived in Oregon, Idaho, Nebraska, and South Dakota. While living in Portland, Oregon, she helped with Special Olympics, food service, and became the youngest person to get a CNA in Portland before the rules changed. She finished high school in South Dakota where she received her Biblical Degree in Missionary Work. A majority of her experience is in the food and healthcare industries whether as supervisor or a volunteer. In 1999 she moved to Manistee, Michigan where she met her husband Eric. Both of her children became involved in SEEDS so she and her husband were a part of the SEEDS family before Janis started her part-time emploment with the Brethren Middle School SEEDS After School Program. That is where she found the true joy of helping young adults achieve their goals.
