Director of Philanthropic Development

An Imagined Candidate Profile: A successful corporate sales manager who has decided to align their work-day with personal values that embody triple-bottom-line accounting.

Position: 

SEEDS seeks a motivated, experienced director of philanthropic development. The successful candidate will hit the ground running developing, managing and executing a comprehensive development program. This includes funder solicitation and engagement, volunteer management, research and working in close collaboration with other SEEDS managers including the Executive Director.

About Us: 

SEEDS is a 501c3 nonprofit organization founded in 1999 to bridge connections between ecology, education and design. Our work is focused in the northwest corner of lower Michigan and our scope is wide spanning from K12 after school education to energy efficiency planning for local municipalities and much in between. Our style is holistic and collaborative. Our morale is high as is our capacity to learn and evolve. The people and stories we connect to are inspiring and solutions oriented.

Skill Requirements:

Proven sales experience. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. A love of people and a passion for the cause. Detail oriented. Knowledge of donor solicitation and fundraising. Knowledge of database management.
