2012 Conference

The Great Lakes Bioneers: October 19-21, 2012!

Our local conference, organized in a partnership between the Neahtawanta Center and SEEDS: the local crossroads, home of an invigorating, inspiring call to action.

The Great Lakes Bioneers have been gathering annually in October on the campus of Northwestern Michigan College for a decade. Meeting at the crossroads of ecology and social justice, the Great Lakes Bioneers focus on building community and showcasing solutions inspired by nature & human ingenuity.

As we continue to inspire the collective shift toward living in concert with nature and with future generations, the Great Lakes Bioneers are intensifying our call to action. This means providing more workshops, events and opportunities for dialog to connect and stay involved throughout the year. It means renewed vigor inspiring our neighbors to be the change they want to see in the world.

As Great Lakes Bioneers celebrates our 11th anniversary, now more than ever, we play a crucial role catalyzing the transition to a restored world.

For our eleventh anniversary...

Great Lakes Bioneers chose the theme TAG, YOU'RE IT! as a frame to use for selecting local programming and events partners.

Tag: because it embodies active and engaging energies passed from one person to another.

You’re It: because it is up to each one of us to be the future that we want to see. This world shifting work cannot be done by “someone else”, it will only be accomplished by all of us. You are chosen and the time is now.

"It's never too late to take back the future." -Seth Bernard
