TCSaves

Is your house wasting your energy dollars?

Offer ends December 31, 2012!

TCSaves, a Better Buildings For Michigan community-based program, is designed to make your home more comfortable and save you money through energy efficiency assessments and upgrades. Homeowners cut their energy bills, local contractors have more work, and the quality of our community improves. That's a win-win-win situation!

TCSaves is a residential energy savings program sponsored by the City of Traverse City in partnership with Traverse City Light and Power, the Michigan Land Use Institute, and SEEDS.

TCSaves is a public program with a limited amount of funding, due to the success of the pilot program now all residents of Traverse City are eligible to sign up! There is not an income requirement to qualify. Special efficiency programs that help low- to moderate-income households earning up to 250 percent of the poverty level are available. Sign up now as the offer ends December 31, 2012!

The program includes a very low-cost, expert, energy assessment of you home; a grant that pays for the most needed initial improvements; and the opportunity for a 2.99% interest loan for additional improvements to make your home as efficient as possible.

A home energy assessment quickly and precisely spots your home’s heat leaks and any health and safety concerns. A contractor will visit your house to perform the assessment, help your understand how that affects your comfort and energy bills, and give you a roadmap for fixing things up. It costs just $100! You’ll receive free home energy upgrades, plus permanent annual energy savings—at no additional cost! Act now: offer ends December 31, 2012!
