TCSaves

Is your house wasting your energy dollars?

TCSaves, a Better Buildings For Michigan community-based program, is designed to make your home more comfortable and save you money through energy efficiency assessments and upgrades. Homeowners cut their energy bills, local contractors have more work, and the quality of our community improves. That's a win-win-win situation!

TCSaves is a residential energy savings program sponsored by the City of Traverse City in partnership with Traverse City Light and Power, the Michigan Land Use Institute, and SEEDS.

TCSaves is a public program with a limited amount of funding, so we are starting with a pilot program; at this time only residents of the North Traverse Heights or Oak Park Neighborhoods in Traverse City are currently eligible. There is not an income requirement to qualify. Special efficiency programs that help low- to moderate-income households earning up to 250 percent of the poverty level are available.

Participants will receive over $1,000 worth of energy analysis and improvements to make their homes more comfortable, safe, and energy efficient!

The program includes a very low-cost, expert, energy assessment of you home; a grant that pays for the most needed initial improvements; and the opportunity for a zero-interest loan for additional improvements to make your home as efficient as possible.
