SEEDS is hiring for:
AmeriCorps VISTA Members
If you have an interest in engaging with SEEDS on developing high quality after school programming at ten schools in Northwest Michigan, full-time positions will be available this July through the AmeriCorps VISTA (Volunteers In Service To America) program. The VISTA Member program is a year-long contract that offers a living stipend, health insurance, and an educational award at completion of service. The education award can be used to pay off student loans or for other educational opportunities.
SEEDS After School launched in 2009 with the goal of helping the next generation take on positive leadership roles as they become adults. It provides academic and cultural enrichment programming all year to Kalkaska, Grand Traverse, Leelanau, Benzie, and Manistee Counties. We empower the local grassroots community to self-organize by incorporating the students' families into academic and cultural enrichment opportunities and by engaging community leaders as youth mentors.

Sara Hardy Downtown Farmers Market Management Team
Love local veggies, farmers markets, and being a friendly face? We're looking for folks to help us run the Sara Hardy Farmers Market in downtown Traverse City!
SEEDS is a Traverse City, MI based non-profit organization that partners with the Traverse City Downtown Development Authority to manage the Sara Hardy Downtown Farmers Market, located along the Boardman River between Cass and Union, downtown Traverse City.
Responsibilities are focused around helping manage our Food Assistance program (accepting Bridge Cards, Double Up Food Bucks and WIC coupons), collecting fees and maintaining order at the market. Effectively completing these tasks requires someone who is detail oriented and good at working with people of all walks of life.
